Hailing from Denver, CO, Saltee (Phil Scilippa) is a 24 year old electronic music producer with a wide repertoire. At a young age, he discovered his passion for electronic music after hearing Robert Miles’ classic, “Children”. Picking up mix CDs from anywhere he could, Saltee began developing a taste for trance, drum & bass, breakbeat, and house music. He started toying with ideas in music production in 2003 via Carl Cox’s eJay production software, and the foundation was laid for Saltee’s endeavor into music production.

Having drawn inspiration from many genres within and outside the electronic realm, Saltee picked up FL Studio in 2009 and began to produce a wide variety of sounds, from electro house, to trance, to drum & bass. He took on many aliases over the years, such as Phanntom, Hivemynd, Neuroknights, Solid State, and sine.wav. Hivemynd was his biggest success, winning remix competitions, and having music featured on television commercials and a plethora of YouTube channels. Phil took on the Saltee alias in 2012, and has begun to get a solid groundwork laid out for his signature house and techno sound, while leaving room for other genres like hip-hop and drum & bass. While he continues his trance and progressive productions under the Solid State alias, Saltee has become his mainstay, and is looking toward 2017 with ambition.
