If you have never heard of Global Dance Festival, you may be missing out on one of the largest summer EDM events in the Rocky Mountains. This year, Global Dance Festival is celebrating its 15th Anniversary on July 21-22 with a new home. For the first time in 14 years, Global Dance Festival will be leaving Red Rocks Amphitheater and moving to Sports Authority Field at Mile High Stadium. Red Rocks is one of the most unique and beautiful places in the country to see live performances, but Global says “it’s time for a bigger home”. The move will allow the festival to expand, offer new amenities, build bigger stages, party later into the nights, and bring bigger production.
Global Dance Festival’s lineup for the 15th Anniversary is absolutely insane this year! The lineup features big names like Kaskade, Hardwell, Nero, Porter Robinson, 3LAU, Deorro, Excision, Datsik, Zhu, Louis the Child, but also includes a variety of genres for everyone. Recently, there has been a lot of buzz about the first ever back-to-back set between Excision and Datsik. Keep an eye out for up and coming DJ’s, such as Bijou, Dabin, Two Owls, and Lost Kings.
As if the banging lineup wasn’t enough, Global Dance Festival recently announced Global Week, which will span over 4 days (July 20-23) and include pre-parties, after-parties and recovery parties at hot clubs and venues in Denver.
Imagine being transported to remote locations around the world, each with its own unique theme and landscape. Discover big names, diverse genres, and new talent at each of the 4 unique stages being debuted this year: Global Summit, Northern Lights, Tundra, and The Amazon: Silent Disco.
Sometimes you needs to take a break and rest from the endless hours of shuffling and head banging at the festival. Global Dance Festival is debuting new interactive features and amenities this year, including: Food Truck Lane, Dragonfly Art Park, Arcave (that’s right, an arcade in a cave!),Geyser Underpass, and carnival rides / games. Personally, watching Kaskade’s set from the top of the ferris wheel is going to be one for the books.
The VIP experience has even received a facelift too! VIP ticket holders will get to use a separate entry, watch performances from private viewing areas, and have access to the Global VIP Village where private bars, bathrooms, shade, lockers, and lounge seating are located.
Gates open at 3pm each day, arrive early and stay hydrated!
