In less than a week, I will be experiencing my first California festival, Nocturnal Wonderland. This year, the festival is going back to its roots by limiting the number of attendees, taking out the VIP experience, and focusing on the environment to create a more intimate experience. This will create room for more art, better stage & environment design, a diverse lineup, and more activities to participate in. With tickets starting at only $120, I couldn’t pass attending this year.
Unfortunately, I will not be camping this year, but camping at Nocturnal does have its perks. Other than the fact that you will be staying right next to the event grounds, you can spend your free time doing a number of different activities like, arts & crafts, yoga, going to the waterpark, attending the silent disco and even the camping pre-party!
Nocturnal Wonderland 2017 will have a total of 5 stages: Wolves’ Den, Labyrinth, Sunken Garden, Temple Noctem, and the Boombox Art Car. The lineup definitely didn’t disappoint and brought a number of artists from different genres, some of whom I have never heard of. This is one of the reasons why I love Insomniac festivals. They broaden my knowledge of music by bringing talented, upcoming artists and allowing them to share their music to the world. Here is a playlist I created to get myself ready for Nocturnal and it has a song from almost every artist on the lineup!
