Since its launch in 2015, Dreamstate has become the biggest trance festival in North America and this year its even bigger!
Returning to the NOS Events Center in San Bernardino, CA on November 24 and November 25, Dreamstate SoCal welcomes over 65 trance artists for two days of non-stop trance. Armin Van Buuren will be joining Dreamstate for the very first time and he will be playing not once, but twice! Armin will have a solo set in addition to a highly anticipated Gaia set with Benno de Goeij.
Gaia sets are rare and the Dreamstate SoCal set will be their first California appearance. The mysterious, hooded duo performed for the first time at Ultra Miami 2014 and have several trance hits like ‘Empire of Hearts’, ‘Stellar’, ‘Saint Vitus’, and ‘Tuvan’.
Dreamstate SoCal will feature the debut of Paul van Dyk’s AEON project, Key 4050 (live) presented by John O’Callaghan and Bryan Kearney, Jordan Suckley’s 3FECT, and Hyrda presented by The Thrillseekers this year.
I am incredibly excited to introduce ‘AEON by Paul van Dyk’ to my fans. Music has a distinct ability to take people away from their problems and relieve anxiety and stress, and this is the feeling we are trying to enhance with this new show concept. This intensified experience of sights, sounds and sensations will be our next level of entertainment,” said Paul van Dyk. “Paired with music of my upcoming album ‘From Then On’, it’s going to be a celebration of trance, life and unity. -Paul van Dyk
Familiar faces, such as Andrew Rayel, ATB, MaRLo, Orjan Nilsen, and Paul Oakenfold, will be returning to Dreamstate SoCal this year. If you haven’t brushed up on your trance artists from overseas, several newcomers will be joining, such as: Blastoyz (Israel), BLiSS (Israel), Cold Blue (German), Factor B (Australia), Fady & Mina (Egypt), Outsiders (Israel), Shugz (Ireland), and more.
I’m really looking forward to my debut in the United States — especially that it is for Dreamstate. From what I’ve heard and seen online, it’s the biggest, the most professional, and forward-thinking in your region. Dreamstate brings psychedelic trance to big audiences, and I think that’s great for everybody looking to discover the beautiful world of this once-underground sound. Plus, I can discover you! Psytrance is getting big in the US now, thanks to brands like DS and the fact that it sounds new and fresh to many people. Me and my guitar cannot wait for November 24. -BLiSS

Remember…be responsible and respectful to yourself and others!
STAY HYDRATED – Drinking plenty of water throughout the weekend is vital to your health and safety. Drink water at regular intervals, and be sure to stay hydrated on the days leading up to the show. While you’re here, fill up on H20 at any of the free hydration stations, or purchase water at various concession stands around the venue.
FASHION & FUNCTION – Come prepared for all types of weather, and definitely dress for comfort. Wear lightweight, breathable clothes that make you feel good. If you choose to wear heavy fabrics and faux furs, remember to stay hydrated. Comfortable sneakers are the best way to go, especially if you’re planning to tear up the dance floor. Sandals and flip-flops can make for sore feet.
USE THE BUDDY SYSTEM – It’s easy to get separated at festivals. Know where your friends are, set up meeting points, and stick together — two or three brains are better than one! If you think a new or old friend needs help, ask the friendly staff to assist, and always leave the show with everyone in your crew.
MEDICAL STATIONS – In the first aid tents located throughout the festival, you’ll find teams of medical practitioners ready to care for your every need — free of charge! If you’re lightheaded or nauseated or have too many blisters from dancing the night away, please visit the friendly medical staff, or ask an Insomniac team member for assistance.
ROAMING MEDICAL TEAMS – If you happen to see Insomniac Health & Safety Team officers roaming through the venue, give them a high-five! These heroic people stay on their feet for the entirety of every event to keep a watchful, caring eye on you! And if either you or a friend has a medical concern, flag one of those friendly folks down.
ENJOY THE SHOW – If you’re under 21, you can’t drink — period. If you’re of legal age, be smart about how much you consume. More booze does not equal more fun, and alcohol is not a beverage to cool off or rehydrate with. It’s important to remember that your body weight and height will factor into how much alcohol is safe to consume.
