It is no secret that Getter has been producing all types of new sounds lately. The first single “Solo”¬†off of his upcoming album was a much softer sound than his typical “wub-dub” sound. Now he’s back at it again with his second single “Colorblind”. This track blew our minds when we heard it for the first time.

This new track is almost as if he combined an entire album into one track. “Colorblind” starts off with some chill trap sounds, into some heavy-bass and then completely destroys everything you thought you knew was coming when he drops some heavy metal vocals. This track could be one of the best of 2018 so far.

Now let’s talk lyrics for a second. Not only is this song produced by the gods, but the lyrics and the message behind them are not to be ignored. Our personal favorite “They say the grass is always greener on the other side but every time I try I go colorblind” is speaking perfectly to how life is full of twist and turns. There is so much vulnerability in the lyrics of this song and so much truth, which is sometimes lacking in the EDM community.

If this is only a tease of what is to come on this forthcoming¬†album, we can only imagine what to expect. One thing is for certain, it is going to be one of the most diverse albums of the year. As someone who always says we should do away with genres and sub-genres and just make music, I couldn’t be more excited!
