Swedish House Mafia has got to be one of the most well-known house groups to ever come about electronic music. Some even say they are the faces of progressive house music, and we agree. Over their years together they dropped two albums, Until One and Until Now. Not to mention two documentaries Take One and Leave The World Behind. With this came countless of hit songs and years of success.

In June of 2012, the group sadly announced that they would be splitting after the completion of their final tour, rightfully named One Last Tour. Their final show was done at the world-famous Ultra Music Festival in March of 2013. The years that followed after didn’t stop the guys from working. Angello began his solo career, while Axwell & Ingrosso performed as a duo.

Here we are… Five years later and EDM fans have finally got what they have been asking for since their final show. Swedish House Mafia made their return to the Ultra 2018 stage for the 20th Anniversary. Which seems right, since their final show was also at Ultra and it was nothing short of special.

SHM dropped some of their biggest hits, including “Don’t You Worry Child”, which had the entire crowd singing along once more as they did five years ago during their farewell show. When I asked Houston native Andrew to speak on the reunion he replied with this,

I don’t really have any words for it, just historic…. Justice!

After a beautiful set and an ocean full of fans feeling complete again for the first time in five years. Axwell grabbed the mic and ended with this statement,

It’s Swedish House Mafia for life this time!

Does that mean the trio is getting back together for good? Only time will tell; however, we are feeling really good about our chances!
