YOOKiE is known for their unique and completely original bass sounds while Jameston Thieves has been known to blow minds with his space bass vibes. The two have come together for a track that melts minds and bends genre categorization.

“Someone told us a while ago that they missed our “alien sounds” so we got together with the most extra-terrestrial creature we know and made Pop Rocks.” – YOOKiE

“Pop rocks was a super fun song to meld minds with YOOKiE on. It’s sort of a paradox of vibes, where the song is rather dark feeling, but the lyrics are more or less a bit whimsical. With the drop sounds, we both tried to make noises that more or less sounded like pop rocks!”JAMESTON THIEVES

“Pop Rocks” has repetitive vocals that mingle with 808’s and a familiar style of bass music the 2 have become known for. The track is a fun, but also dark tribute to the styles of both artists. The first drop reminds us of a liquid drip from space, which it seems was the idea the artists were going for. The second drop is more of fun play on the first with an added upbeat and more fast paced tempo; the two even weave in a bit of a house chime.
