There’s a new rising star in the free-form bass world, Champagne Drip. The up and coming producer is praised for his ability to bridge the gap between nasty, heavy bass and melodic artistry. Champagne Drip has been rapidly making a name for himself in the scene and recently dropped an EP, Obelisk, through Liquid Stranger’s WAKAAN label.
Obelisk is a collection of 4 tracks that completely defy all genre characteristics. Every track challenges expectations and leaves the listener yearning for more. The EP is a testament of Champagne Drip’s unique ability to balance heavy, wonky, weird, and euphoric sounds – showcasing insane talent. Nerf This, for example, has a unique air about it that sounds as if you’re attending an underground party nestled in the darkest alleys of Super Mario world.
2018 is only the beginning for this weird bass wizard and we can’t wait to see what else he has in store for us.
