Norway-based artist Difee just dropped his second track of 2020 early this morning, and it’s one of the most beautiful and diverse tracks I’ve heard this year. Combining his own vocals with his own production genius, Difee brings a strong, but grieving voice to the track that amplifies his drops and sound almost astronomically. Fans of dubstep, riddim, and anything that goes hard while maintaining some sort of emotional tie will find “All Alone” right up their alley.
Personally, I thought the vocals really added another element to “All Alone”, and I feel like the track wouldn’t sound or have the same meaning without it. I got a second to ask Difee about “All Alone,” and this is what he had to say:
I have always been a bit of a purist when it comes to music, so I design all the synths myself, and I feel like this helps give me a certain recognizable sound. Implementing organic elements has also become something I really appreciate doing. Like in “All Alone,” I have recorded guitars that I layered with the cinematic drums, much inspired by my days as a metal guitar player. And of course, singing on my own track has been an experience. I have made vocal samples earlier, but nothing like this. To be honest, it makes me a little nervous about showing it to the world.
