We’re back!!

A post shared by Disclosure (@disclosure) on

One post to shake us all. 2 days ago one of dance music’s favorite duos officially announced that that they are BACK. That’s right, Disclosure is making their return to music and a what a wait its been. Sure they’ve picked up collabs and a few festival shows here and there, but the world (and myself) needs more Disclosure to break up the monotony of the current electronic dance music scene.

This final week of February marks a monumental moment for Disclosure fans across the globe. Yesterday they live streamed a 2 and a half hour “Kitchen Mix.” where they premiered one of their newest tracks “Ecstasy.” As if one new track wasn’t enough, later that same night they debuted “Tondo,” on Annie Mac’s BBCRadio podcast.

Their first track “Ecstasy,” came into existence in early 2019 during a writing session at Guy’s house in London.  Inspired by Aquarium Dream’s “Fantasy,” using samples from various 70s disco and soul records, “Ecstasy,” follows the signature Disclosure sound while lending us an ear to their future. According to their Instagram post, “This song is made entirely to get a human being to their feet and directly to the dance floor.” I don’t know about you, but whenever I hear Disclosure , its a sure sign to start grooving.

The second track “Tondo” showcases the duos exploration into African genres of music and features a sample from great Cameroonion musician Eko Roosevelt. This fast and punchy track is perfect to groove on the dance floor or relaxing with friends at mimosas.

It’s been rumored that the duo has been working on over 100 new tracks in their time off. My mind and body is ready for all of the new Disclosure tunes to come, but if they plan on releasing them one by one, each day of this week, I’m not going to make it to Friday.
