Meet Peace Maker!, our February 2020 Featured Artist!

Definitely a name you should be on the lookout for all year round, as he has already had some STRONG releases under his belt. Hailing from Portugal, he kicked off his year with one such release on Insomniac Records IN / ROTATION compilation with the track “Don’t Really Care,” a collab with Nostalgix. He followed that release up with a track out on Dr. Fresch’s The Remedy Vol. 2 entitled “Power, Money & Streets” which dropped about a week ago.

But enough of the accolades, lets dive in and introduce you to the man behind the enjoyably danceable beats himself and let you get to know him for yourself!

TRILLVO: What first got you into music?

“What first got me into music, was when a friend of mine bought the Maschine from Native and we started playing with some samples that came with the gear. I think this was the moment that kickstarted this passion.”

TRILLVO: What is your creative process like, how did you develop your signature sound?

“My creative process starts when arriving at the studio, I’ll put some new daily fresh music that just came out and I’ll wait until I start feeling some hype to start producing. Then everything just follows. I developed my sound from producing so much I sort of created a sound that works for what I want to deliver with my tracks and then kept using a couple of elements that still feature in almost every track I make.”

TRILLVO: You said you would listen to new music to start the creative process…did any artists have an influence on your sound or provide any inspiration?

“Back when I started I would have to say my inspiration was Skrillex when he released his Scary Monsters EP. That was awesome. Some other artist that have had an influence on me are Chris Lake, Martin Ikin, Malaa, Dillon Francis & Eli Brown.”

TRILLVO: Who would you most like to collab with?

“This is a tough one but I would have to say Chris Lake”

“New Zealand, no doubt, the atmosphere there is unbelievable and the culture is mindblowing.

“More equality and more support for the upcoming artists in the business. There’s a lot of great talents out there.”
