Born in the The Bronx, New York, producer Tyler Morris discovered his passion for electronic music and production at a young age. Taking advantage of the city’s hot summer days and frigid winter nights, trapped inside, Morris dove deep into the depths of tech-house to perfect his unique bass lines, quirky vocals, and crisp, methodical sound. Embodying his hometown and the city that produced him,Morris adopted the name Westend.
After chart topping hits “Friend Zone” and “Detonate,” Morris has seen huge success in the tech-house scene with releases on the genre’s most popular labels Dirtybird, Dim Mak, Club Sweat and Box of Cats. Now the young producer can add Sonny Fodera’s esteemed imprint, Solotoko for his latest EP “Pay Attention.” The EP features 2 tracks that showcase Westend’s eye for production as he fuses sharp percussion together with funky and warping synths. The sound, in combination with the catchy vocals makes for a feel good tech-house tune to move your body on the dancefloor.
The Westend’s latest EP is guaranteed to make both producers and listeners alike pay attention to this rising producer in the tech-house scene.
