Our favorite Houston based electronic music producer XWIRE, aka Xavier Diaz, has ran away with our hearts with the release of his newest single “Run Away.” A beautiful and melodic track that will take you on a journey through the heart, mind, and soul of the man who made it. XWIRE is known for pouring his emotions into his work, and “Run Away” showcases the raw power and beauty that those emotions can bring out in all of us.

I asked XWIRE to give me a little insight into the track and his mentality when creating “Run Away,” and he had this to say: “

[When making the song] I was in a bit of a dark mindset. Naturally I’d turn to my side project “CTHLU” to vent and put stuff down but I wanted to challenge myself to put something together that I could listen to later and not just think “wow this is what I was going through” and never listen to the song again. I never go back and listen to any of my CTHLU songs. So I wanted something that would capture how I was feeling but could also help me overcome my thoughts at the moment. Originally it had my vocals over it, but I decided that the vocals didn’t fit much better than the original, so I kept it like that. The vocal chops for example are my vocals. Like legit me, just super processed.

Mental health is a big problem in our community, and we can all relate to having these struggles at one point or another in our lives. “Run Away” is available now on all platforms, and you can follow XWIRE to check out some of his other amazing releases!
