Dystopian cyberpunk fans can now have the perfect track to accompany their trek through an irradiated wasteland or through a high-tech city full of augmented freaks with “Watchmen”. The dynamic duo of Sylvagus and AYS bring to life the ideas and themes of a not-so-distant future where machines and man live side-by-side. The ominous and droning sound that sets the mood which opens to a wide soundscape really gives a sense of true grandeur. It is a slow burn that pays off in big ways with a dark mid-tempo synth and pulsing sound that fleshes out the world Sylvagus and AYS set out to build. Explore the dark and ominous landscape they paint for listeners in their newest track.

Sylvagus’ signature metallic, robotic, screechy sound repertoir is sending me. The tension that creates when layered with AYS‘ ability to create a complete atmosphere and setting is exhilaratingly euphoric in the darkest sense. “Watchmen” is a horrifyingly gloomy journey, filled completely with only the most aggressive and eerie of sounds, and belongs in a dark, haunting cinematic. The final minute is easily top 3 most haunting soundscapes I’ve heard, giving me literal chills down my spine, and hearing it back-to-back-to-back only shows me things I missed on the previous playthrough. A spooky composition, anyone in love with that dark and aggressive, mid-tempo style NEEDS to give “Watchmen” a listen.

Robert Blue and I KILL for this darker soundscape. If you liked it as much as we did, lob a follow to their socials linked below.
